Brixham deny Clevedon in battle of the packs

Clevedon remain without a league win this season, but came the closest yet to getting two points.
They played with plenty of passion and deserved victory, but it was not to be.
The hosts had a kick charged down in the first minute, allowing Brixham to take an early seven-point lead.
Clevedon's lineout again went well, with Ben Chase and James Shopland on form.
Clevedon tended to kick away possession instead of keeping it in the hands and, from one such kick, the visitors scored their second converted try.
The home forwards played well and applied a great deal of pressure before half-time, encamped in the visitors' 22.
Clevedon were rewarded with a Steve Johnson penalty to make it 17-3 at the break.
The second half became a battle of the packs and, in the heavy conditions, Clevedon drove well and kept possession effectively.
The backs, many playing out of position, could not break down the Brixham defence.
Ben Stone and Jason Quick were denied tries, but Clevedon eventually crossed the line with a pushover try, credited to Chris Page. Steve Johnson converted.
The remaining minutes saw Clevedon battle hard but Brixham kept them at bay.
On Sunday, Clevedon host Old Reds in the Somerset Cup, kicking off at 2pm.
