Weston crashed out of the Somerset Premier Cup at the second round stage with a defeat at home to Brislintgon.
The Seagulls dominated large swathes of the game but were made to pay by the visitors, who made the most of the few chances that came their way.
Brislington left the reshuffled Seagulls on the end of a humiliating cup shock at the hands of the Toolstation minnows, who ply their trade three levels below Weston in the pyramid.
Manager Tony Ricketts returned to the dug-out after illness prevented him from travelling to Bognor on Saturday and he made four changes to the starting 11 who drew at Nyewood Lane.
Mark McKeever and Ludovic Quistin hit plenty of balls into the box but the Seagulls struggled to find the target.
The hard-working Ryan Havard headed over from a Michael Green cross, Marc McGregor shot high and wide when well placed and Cedric Abraham headed over from another McKeever cross.
Ryan Paddock was unfortunate to see his effort from another McKeever ball in blocked on the goalline by Brislington captain Danny Barwood.
The goal that their dominance deserved finally came for the hosts a minute before the interval when Green was felled by James Pendleton and Marvin Brown powered the penalty to the right of Chris Humphries.
Although Weston continued to have the better of the play in the second period, the visitors drew level on 52 minutes when Gurney slipped and Russ Church tucked the ball under the exposed Luke Purnell in the home goal.
The introduction of former Weston man Justin Pritchard gave the visitors fresh impetus and his defence-splitting ball allowed Church to net his second.
Pritchard continued to be a menace to the home side and when he broke from midfield a minute from time his pass fed Justin Bishop to kill off the game.
Ricketts described the defeat as "embarrassing", adding: "We think we are better than we are and just have to turn up.
"Our keeper hasn't had a save to make and we haven't worked their keeper."
